Cooking

  • I make soup and/or Crockpot meals so they can be made in the morning instead of at the witching hours when everyone is tired and hungry.

  • If you have older kids, have them cook and/or clean up dinner.

  • What didn’t work for me:

    • I tried to do Sunday food prep for the week, but that was exhausting and I was resentful that my weekend was taken up prepping for the week ahead. Not for me.

    • We tried three meal delivery services (recipes and ingredients delivered—not fully prepped food). We liked each for a week or two, but ultimately like our cooking better, and didn’t like all the packaging waste, and it was expensive.
