Directions for Using Haiku Printables
The printable pack comes with:
Minimalist Haiku Directions
This is a one-page resource that sets you up to write fabulous haiku for the month ahead. If you’ve never written haiku before, this is a great starter resource.
Haiku Playground Page
Use the playground as your space for drafting.
Messy scribbles encouraged.
Be proud of the process.
Print as many as you need.
Final Draft Haiku Page (TEN versions. Print the one you and/or your kids like the best.)
During the month, I keep all my haiku pages on a clipboard that hangs in my office, or I keep them on the fridge with a magnet. It’s helpful to have the pages within sight as a gentle reminder to get words on the page.
At the end of the month, I save the pages (including the playground pages!), in a letter-sized TUL notebook with clear poly covers that fit 8.5 by 11 paper, but any notebook or folder will do.

Your collection becomes a fast and easy memory-keeping system for the year! This is one “scrapbook” that doesn’t make me feel like I’m always behind!
